I bought one of these to use while recovering from right shoulder rotator cuff surgery.

Pros: I can feel the cool compression - but it's definitely not "cold". I don't have to mess with ice packs. The controls are easy to understand, and start-up was undramatic.

Cons: Impossible to get the pack on with 1 functioning arm, which means I can't use it at all on the days when my husband is at work (he works 12-hour days, and has an hour-long commute). It's also extremely difficult to connect/disconnect without assistance - the tubing coming from the pad could be longer, or come with a longer adapter that would easily reacch the hand of the shoulder being treated. I also feel like the programmable interval could have gone a step further - my instructions were to ice off and on so many minutes per hour, and reaching across to turn this thing back ON, when it could just cycle on automatically, is unnecessarily painful.

I expected more for close to $200.

It works great but for only 30 mins then you must restart it so unusable for constant overnight use
